Longer Placements

Mentoring individual learners one to one with the support of the provider or host institution from readers to long term sustained contact.

Employers can support workplace learning through longer placements that can be supported by a training provider, including traineeships, apprenticeships and internships.



Key Features of Longer Placements

Learners gain significant employment related skills development through direct learning in the workplace through longer work placements.

  • Learners gain direct learning in the workplace through a minimum 4 week work placement

  • Employers host and supervise young people on placement, with formal training provided by a remote training provider

  • Minimum commitment – initial preparation plus minimum of 4 week placement supervision
