Employability Skills

Mentoring individual learners one to one with the support of the provider or host institution from readers to long term sustained contact.

Employers can provide learners with transferable skills and employability activities such as interview skills. One-off workshops or sustained training programmes can link in with the school/college curriculum to enrich learning and career development. Learners can gain skills that are valuable in the workplace and gain skills that will increase their employability.

Key Features of Employability Skills

  • Learners benefit from facilitated activities and workshops that are delivered by employers in educational or workplace settings

  • Employers or industry practitioners provide talks or contribute to delivery on employability, including general careers advice, CV writing, interview training

  • Minimum commitment – preparing and delivering at least 1 activity per year
